I don’t know about you, but I enjoyed myself immensely during the winter storm that walloped a large part of our country the last few days. The storm that I am referring to had a memorable name. The “Bomb Cyclone”! I will never forget it. A storm so bold that it demanded respect. This Bomb Cyclone was rough and packed quite a punch. Would this be the prelude and anticipation of some kind of explosion or supernatural crunch. Would it be a tree crackling and slamming down to the ground, with an impressive thundering sound, or would it be the collision of two or more vehicles clamoring down. Nope, it was just the Bomb Cyclone whistling through our ears. Winds and snow and rain you know, as intimidating as a bully taking your gloves. As intimidating as walking barefoot in the snow. The kind of weather that could make you hunker down and retreat to your couch with a piece of pie. And yet this “Bomb Cyclone”, gave way to a barbeque in the blizzard for my wife and I. I must admit “this”, is something that we sometimes do, “that is” barbeque in the winter, a cookout of sorts for just us two. We can tackle the world my wife and I, so why cower down for some boring pie. To plan something much more exciting for just us two. Be Inspired! That is, be inspired intentionally. Begin to look for ways, things and people to inspire you intentionally. My number one inspiration is the All Mighty God, my Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). My wife inspires me. My pastor inspires me. My family inspires me. Reading inspires me. Writing inspires me. Encouraging and speaking to myself inspires me. That's right, I said it. Speaking to myself. Sometimes you have to even inspire yourself by talking to yourself. Not only can you say to yourself, "I can do this" or "I have done this before and I can do it again"! "You can say, I 've got this"! So, speak positivity and positive things will happen. In the same way, speaking negativity will cause negative outcomes. Surround yourself with people, places and things that inspire you. Inspiration is all around you! Be inspired.

Goals and dreams are not easy to accomplish. If they were easy, there would not be any reason to plan for them because they could be attained today. Goals and dreams are more attainable if we chip and chop away at the requirements that need to met almost methodically. We chip away at all of the layers that need to be removed, little by little, step by step, and one step at a time. We chip away at the barriers, we chop away at the material, we chip away at the doubters and naysayers, we chop away at the self doubt and weariness. We build a foundation, we memorize the principles, and we learn from our mistakes. We also lean on our faith and perseverance to stay the course.
